Oakhurst

Oakhurst was incorporated in 1910 and in 1916 was annexed by Decatur.   Oakhurst is just minutes from downtown Atlanta and features historic  bungalows along with newer construction.  Between 1905  & 1912 - Agnes-Scott College graduate, Lila Ross Wilburn, designed many of the homes on Adams Street working with Georgia Adams who oversaw the development on her father's land.  Dowtown Oakhurst boasts great restaurants and shops.  Oakhurst Community Garden is a great place to spend some time and learn about organic gardening.
