West Midtown – located west of I-75/I-85 is becoming the fastest growing area in town.  West Midtown is home to Georgia Tech with easy access to Buckhead, Downtown, midtown and all interestates.   Great shopping and restaruant are also close at hand in this ermerging area.  Westside District  located at Howell Mill & 14th Street recently opened offering numerous restaruants, salons, spa and shopping.    Just down the street is the Atlanta Humane Society.

Avondale Estates is just east of Decatur and Oakhurst.  Avondale Estates was founded in 1924by George Willis after a trip to Stratford-upon-Avon with his wife.  He was smitten with the birthplace of William Shakespeare and Avondale Estates reflects the Tudor-Revival architectural style of the city.  Avondale Estates is listed on the National Registrar of Historical Places.   Avondale Estates has a strong community and many events planned.  Avondale Estates.

Old Fourth Ward is located east of Downtown Atlanta and west of Poncey-Highlands & Inman Park.   Originally the neighborhood was home to Morris Brown College & Clark Atlanta University.   You will find a mix of historic home styles in Old Fourth Ward.

Poncey-Highlandis named after one of  the intersections that define the neighborhood - Ponce de Leon & N. Highland Avenue.Established between 1905 and 1930, Poncey-Highland is bordered by Little Five Points to the east, the Old Fourth Ward and Midtown Atlanta to the west, Inman Park to the south, and Virginia-Highland to the north. Loring Heights is a neighborhood of just over 300 homes located north of Midtown Atlanta between Peachtree Street & Northside Drive and just south of Buckhead.  The neighborhood has older homes along with new construction homes and has a park with duck pond and other green space under development.  It is an easy walk to great restaurants & shops.   Click here for more information.

Clairemont – Great Lakes is located in Decatur.  The historic neighborhood was developed in sections between 1913 and through the 1930′s.  Clairemont – Great Lakes neighborhood actually consists of four smaller neighborhoods:  the Great Lakes neighborhood, which has streets named after famous lakes; Clairemont Avenue;  Clairemont Estates; Emory Acres; and Ponce de Leon Terrace.   You will find great places to walk to for shopping, eating and playing – the parks & Decatur Square.   Styles include bungalows, four-squares, Dutch Colonial and modern.

Oakhurst was incorporated in 1910 and in 1916 was annexed by Decatur.   Oakhurst is just minutes from downtown Atlanta and features historic  bungalows along with newer construction.  Between 1905  & 1912 - Agnes-Scott College graduate, Lila Ross Wilburn, designed many of the homes on Adams Street working with Georgia Adams who oversaw the development on her father’s land.  Dowtown Oakhurst boasts great restaurants and shops.  Oakhurst Community Garden is a great place to spend some time and learn about organic gardening.
