Atlanta Schools

Schools fall under the jurisdiction of the county or city in which they are located.   Here I have broken things into categories for you – City of Atlanta Schools (includes Charter Schools), City of Decatur Schools, Fulton County Schools, Dekalb County Schools, and Private Schools.   Included are links to the school system sites which have links to the specific elementary schools, middle schools & high schools. 

Individual school sites will show zoning, bus routes, score cards, teachers, calendar of events/activities and even the lunch menu.

Charter Schools – Charter Schools are public schools goverened by nonprofit boards.  Presently there are 7 charter schools in the City of Atlanta covering grades K-12.  Admittance into the schools is done via a lottery system though you must live within the school district.   Click here for more information on Charter Schools in the City of Atlanta.

*You can have an address with Atlanta and not be in the City of Atlanta – it will either be Dekalb County or Fulton County.  Likewise an address may contain Decatur but you may not be in the City of Decatur – it would be in Dekalb County.   Let me know if you need help.
